Volunteer Opportunities

Annual two-day Rivers Festival in early April needs volunteers of every kind, for registration, set-up, food and beverage serving, cashiers, security.  2002 festival is April 5-6. Contact the Festival Coordinator at (916) 442-3155, x203.

Whitewater rafting guides needed to take people on rafting trips to show off the beauty of California rivers and educate rafters about river conservation issues. Training provided. Contact the Craig Tucker, Volunteer Program Manager, at (916) 442-3155, x205.

Field Trip Information

Friends of the River can provide whitewater rafting trips on the American River to interested groups. Trips would be guided by trained Friends of the River rafting guides.
