Board of Supervisors to Recognize Outstanding Sustainability and Environmental Projects
The County of Los Angeles is now accepting applications for the 2014 "Green Leadership Awards" program, announced Chief Executive Officer William T Fujioka.
"The County of Los Angeles established the Green Leadership Awards Program to showcase the diverse local achievements in protecting and improving our environment," said CEO Fujioka. "Many County residents, local governments, non-profits and businesses are working creatively to find new ways to reach sustainable goals. The Green Leadership Awards program provides a unique opportunity to recognize these outstanding contributions to our environment."
Each year, the County accepts Green Leadership entries from local governments, residents, businesses, and non-profits that show innovative and creative solutions to challenges involving environmental issues.
All County residents, public agencies, businesses, and nonprofit organizations are eligible to participate in the Green Leadership Awards program. The Board of Supervisors will recognize the winning outstanding projects at a regular Board meeting in April as part of its annual observance of Earth Day.
